During forty years work in mainstream mental health care as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist I often encountered people whose complaints and problems I struggled to solve or alleviate in the current medical paradigm.
This led to a quest for alternate ways to understand and transform human tribulations and destiny, mine included.
The study of spiritual traditions from all over the world and the use of their practices gave answers I had not found elsewhere.
Thus the vast landscapes of the soul on which our mind is embedded began to reveal themselves to me. From there come our deepest impulses, desires, and choices.
Life is a journey of the soul, not of the mind. A new set of skills is required to navigate life seen in this perspective.
I offer now in my work the fruits of forty years of exploration and of important lessons I was fortunate to receive.
Circumstances don’t make the man, they only reveal him to himself.
